iOS users in the United States frequently have difficulty performing actions such as banning someone and resetting their phones. Green Smartphones discovered that iPhone users search Google 58% more than Android users for information on common functions and tasks.

Every month, 4,000 iPhone users seek Google’s assistance in taking screen recordings, whereas only 24,000 Android users do so.

Every month, 61,000 iPhone users seek for ‘How to factory reset’ on Google, compared to 8,400 Android smartphone users. Recording a phone conversation, setting up voicemail, sharing location, removing an app, transferring photographs, updating a phone, and performing a device backup are also easier on Android than on iOS.

Taking a screenshot and scanning a QR code are the only two actions that new Android users struggle with more than new iPhone users.

In total, iOS users undertake 358,000 Google searches per month for help navigating and using their phones, while Android users conduct 226,000 searches. This suggests that Android has a user-centered interface, and that most new users do not require explicit instructions to use Android phones.

Because more people seem to be abandoning Android than iOS, it may be hypothesised that, while iPhones are a little tough to use as first, they’re a breeze after consumers get the hang of iOS.
