Android 14 Beta is here. Google announced the beta release in a blog post on Wednesday. If you have a compatible phone, you can download and install it now. Android 14 brings several tweaks and overhauls, including updates to the Android system UI, including a new back arrow and a better share menu, as well as privacy and security improvements.
Android 14 Beta 1 is Google’s most stable Android 14 release since Google released the first Android 14 developer preview in February.
So far, installing Android 14 Developer Preview hasn’t been too difficult, but it hasn’t been easy either. It included unlocking developer options, downloading large files, factory resetting the device, and more. Downloading and installing the latest Android 14 beta just got a whole lot easier.
The final version of Android 14 will eventually be the easiest to get, but that’s not expected until later this year. If you have an Android device, you can start testing Android 14 Beta 1 today. The method is as follows.

Is Android 14 beta safe to download?
Android 14 Beta is cleaner and more stable than Android 14 Developer Preview, but this version has bugs that can make your phone harder to use. Only download Android 14 Beta if you are willing to deal with these issues or if the device is your everyday phone backup. Also, be sure to back up your device before downloading Android 14 Beta in case something goes wrong or you decide to exit the program later.

How to download Android 14 Beta on supported devices
The easiest way to download Android 14 Beta to your phone is to visit the Android Beta on Pixel page on your computer, check if your device is supported, and then enroll in the Android 14 program.
Under the Eligible Devices option, you’ll see if your phone is supported (make sure your phone is at least 10% charged, otherwise it may not show up) .
Unless you’ve signed up for Android 13 Beta or Android 14 Developer Preview, you’ll see the option to sign up. If you’ve already signed up for one of the pre-release versions above, you don’t need to do anything to get Android 14. Your phone should receive updates automatically.
To sign up for Android 14 Beta, click Sign Up, read the Terms of Service, and then click Confirm and Sign In. You’ll see a notification that your device has joined the Android 14 Beta program.
Then you’ll receive over-the-air updates on your phone. If you don’t receive notifications on your phone, check for Android 14 updates by going to Settings > System > System updates. It may take up to 24 hours to receive an OTA update. How long will the Android 14 beta last?
We should expect an update towards the public release of Android 14. Android 14 is likely to be released this fall. According to Google, there should be one monthly update for May and June, and two for him in July.
Also, the entire Android 14 beta program will continue until next year. This means you will continue to receive beta updates until the next beta release, unless you opt out.
How do I opt out of Android 14 Beta?
To opt out of the Android 14 Beta program, return to the Android Beta for Pixel page, but this time click Opt Out. You should receive an OTA update on your phone within 24 hours. This will wipe all locally stored data and give you the latest public version of Android. Therefore, as mentioned above, you should back up your device before signing up for the Android 14 beta program.
