The New Unsubscribe Button in Gmail

A Game-Changer in the Fight Against E-commerce Spam

Tired of receiving unwanted or commercial emails in your inbox? To solve this issue, Google, the US-based computer giant, is apparently pushing out an unsubscribe button in the Gmail Android app. However, as of now, this feature is not generally available, and there is no word on whether it will be offered for iOS devices.

How it Works

According to AssembleDebug’s report on TheSpAndroid, the Gmail unsubscribe button is now being developed in the latest version of the Gmail app for Android. A single tap on this button, which is located next to the sender’s details, will unsubscribe you from future emails.

The article also mentions a Gmail desktop upgrade in which an unsubscribe button is automatically added to mails if an unsubscribe link is discovered within the message. Mobile users can find the unsubscribe button by pressing the three-dot menu symbol.

When to Expect It

According to AssembleDebug, the clear ‘Unsubscribe’ button is scheduled to be included in the newest Gmail upgrade (version 2023.11.12) for Android smartphones.
